About

Overview

One-day in-person workshop for clinicians focused on couple therapy as a distinct clinical discipline.

The work shifts from the individual to the interaction between partners, and from internal experience to observable relational patterns.

Designed for qualified psychologists, therapists, and counsellors, as well as those in clinical training. No prior experience in couple therapy required.

What You Will Gain

  • Clear understanding of how couple therapy differs from individual therapy

  • Understanding how systemic thinking translates into practice

  • Identifying relational and conversational patterns in real time

  • Understanding relational formulation as a basis for intervention

  • Understanding where and how to intervene in real time

  • Clarity on the role and positioning of the couple therapist

What This Is Not

  • This is not a skills-based or technique-driven workshop.

  • It does not train you to practise couple therapy in a single day.

  • This is not a passive presentation or lecture.

  • It is not a consultation or supervision forum.

  • The focus is on how to think, see, and work with interaction in real time.

  • This is a full-day commitment. Active participation is essential.
